The Remnant Church scripture library includes the Inspired Version of the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and Lectures of Faith.
The Inspired Version is Joseph Smith’s revision of the Bible and reflects the older RLDS/Josephite scriptural tradition. The Book of Mormon used in this tradition is tied to the RLDS line of publication rather than the modern LDS Church edition. The Doctrine and Covenants is also connected to the RLDS tradition and differs from the LDS Church edition in both numbering and contents.
Lectures of Faith is included as part of the Remnant Church’s scripture library. These lectures were originally published in the 1835 Doctrine and Covenants as the “doctrine” portion of the book. They were later removed from the LDS Doctrine and Covenants and are not included in the current Community of Christ Doctrine and Covenants, but they continue to be preserved and used by some conservative Restorationist groups.
This scripture set reflects the Remnant Church’s connection to the RLDS and Josephite side of the Latter Day Saint movement. It preserves several older Restoration texts that differ from the standard works used by the LDS Church.
